This is a site for all WoW players, from the casual gamers to the hardcore PvP’ers.
I was something of a late comers to WoW.
I didn’t get involved until the summer of 05.
I was initially put off by the cartoon like appearance. I played all of Blizzards other games and loved them, but just something about WoW rubbed me the wrong way.
But in time, I came to appreciate the amount of detail that the world has.
It’s a simple world, from a 3D point of view, but a very very detail rich world.
Being a programmer by trade ( and a former game programmer) I can appreciate the hard work and innovation that Blizz put into this product.
I played very casually, solo, with the occasional group to kill a boss.
It took me almost 3 months to hit level 20 with my rogue.
I wrote the game off for a few months, then got the urge again when I saw pictures of Deadmines.
See, in all that time, I had *never* been in an instance. So I found a pug and went in. I was amazed at the storyline arc, and the whole concept behind the minds was amazing to me.
So I took that character, a mage, and began levelling him, playing almost daily, even if for a little bit.
I finally hit the magical level of 40 and got my mount! Now I could go anywhere. Then I promptly shelved that character and rolled a Blood Elf with the new BC expansion. I got that character up to level 42 before laying the game down again.
I am back now, after about a 3 month break, and looking forward to finding new things to see and do, and maybe, just maybe, get a character past 42.
But no promises…
- I’m Jason, and that’s how I wow

Well I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that gets sidetracked from leveling my toon. I even took a sabbatical from play for about six months. Consequently I got a bunch of partially leveled toons on multiple servers. I have now made a vow to stick to leveling two of them alternately. This is so I will finally get my first 60. Someday my toon will be a real level 70 boy.
